Einebustaden ligg i ein gammal eplehage på Jar utanfor i Oslo på ei lita tomt med utsikt over Oslofjorden. Bygget er forma etter tomta og er plassert med tanke på å verne mest mogleg av eplehagen. Opphaldsrommet er lagt til andre etasje og åpnar seg opp mot ein takterrasse med innebygde plantekasser. 

Bygget ein utstrakt bruk av tre både utvendig og innvendig noko som gir ei varm kjensle i ein ellers moderne arkitektur med enkle linjer og store flater.

Situated in an orchard of a house dating back to 1920, the site was divided for the densification of the pressured suburban area boardering to Oslo. Saving as many of the apple trees as possible, the new house occupyies a narrow strip stretching towards the essential view over the Oslo Fjord. The elevated terrace has an integrated garden in the railing, yealding potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, strawberries and a wide range of herbs relocated from the orchard.

The house has a wide use of wood both exterior an interior giving you a warm feeling among the clean lines and expanded surfaces of modern architecture.
